EMF Presents Audio Super Session with Engineer/Producer and Acoustician Omid Burgin in NYC, 4/29-30

The weekend of April 29 – 30, recording engineer, music producer and acoustician Omid Burgin returns to New York City to conduct three workshops aimed at the independent composer and sound designer at the Electronic Music Foundation (EMF).

Burgin, who owns a recording complex in Sao Paulo, Brazil and teaches recording and studio design, has recorded Brazilian Indian tribes in remote jungle villages. He worked for many years in Los Angeles as a musical producer, sound engineer, composer and film music production supervisor.

He will lead the group in three courses: Field Recording, Designing Your Home Recording Studio, and Recording Techniques for Home Studios.

Learn how to make professional-quality recordings in your home, integrating microphone techniques with acoustic principles. Learn, through illustrated examples, how to take advantage of the acoustics of your bedrooms, closets, bathrooms, even kitchen sinks and refrigerators.
