Brooklyn Electronic Duo Beacon Signs with Ghostly International

The always ahead-of-the-curve label Ghostly International has swooped into NYC once again, this time signing the Brooklyn electronic duo known as Beacon.

Beacon, from Brooklyn, attracted the attention of Ghostly International.

Sporting a signature dark sound rooted in undulating bass and highly satisfying electronic textures, Beacon is the pairing of Thomas Mullarney and Jacob Gossett. Their debut on Ghostly International will be an EP entitled For Now, and is set to drop on October 2nd.

The first single from For Now is the moodily percolating “Feeling’s Gone,” which you can hear without waiting courtesy of Pitchfork.

Beacon’s 2011 EP No Body is what got them on the map, a four-track collection of “atmospheric vocals, pulsating synth layers and minimal drum beats.” But don’t take anyone else’s word for it – you can hear it at your leisure right here.
