Carl Tatz Design Launches New MixRoom Acoustic Modules With Auralex

The studio design firm Carl Tatz Design (CTD) has announced its new Carl Tatz Signature Series control room acoustic modules by Auralex, known as the CTD MixRoom.

Created with CTD’s award-winning PhantomFocus System monitor tuning protocol, and available through Auralex, the CTD MixRoom emulates the look and performance of Tatz’s custom control room designs at a fraction of the cost. Reportedly, MixRoom can quickly and affordably transform a simple rectangular room into a “world-class mixing environment.”

The first example of this is a new mixing suite for engineer/educator Bob Bullock, who says he is “blown away” with the MixRoom design in practice, calling it “the future of personal studios.” Click for more on Bullock’s new “Dream Room.” And see before and after pics below.

MixRoom is a turnkey design/monitoring concept that works with the individual user’s space. Ancillary gear for Bullock’s MixRoom includes studio furniture by Argosy Console, featuring the PFS™-compliant Dual 15-800 work station, two RR-H10-M Rack ‘N Roll equipment modules and SDT3-C-B Directors Table; Dynaudio Professional M1 monitors and Bryston SST 4B Amplification.
