“Bassy” Bob on the job.

One such method is the “Elements of Mixing” seminar series put on by GRAMMY-winner “Bassy” Bob Brockman (Christina Aguilera, Biggie Smalls, P Diddy, Babyface, Brian McKnight, Herbie Hancock, the Fugees, Santana, Sting). His latest installment arrives on Sunday, April 27th,  at the revered Mission Sound in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

This time around, Brockman will be focusing on compression, saturation, equalization, group compression, spatial enhancement and much, much more.

Running from 10 AM – 3 PM, it will the class will be limited to 15 students. Tickets are $199 – visit Elementsofmixing.com to reserve your spot.

According to Brockman, his Elements of Mixing seminar has grown out his personal journey to try and codify the dark art of mixing music in to a series of subroutines that clarify and simplify the often daunting task of mixing a song.

Bassy freely admits that “mixing never gets easy”, but hopefully his insights and experience can shed some light on some time tested techniques for making them pleasurable and exciting to listen to.
