SAE NY 3rd Annual Alumni Awards – Wed. July 2nd, The Cutting Room

For those who can handle the suspense of a live awards show, the Cutting Room will be the place to be this coming Wednesday, July 2nd. That’s where SAE New York will host its third annual Alumni Awards, from 6-10 PM.
An event that has really come into its own, the SAE NY Alumni Awards have proven to be a hotbed of networking and great live music for everyone in the NYC area who touches audio. All are invited to attend – you need not be a graduate or student of the Chelsea-based audio school to drink the evening in.
This year’s event will once again feature musical performances from bands associated with the school, industry judges in each of the awards categories, and the presentation of awards in multiple categories. Up for grabs are trophies recognizing Engineer of the Year, Rising Star, Outstanding Achievement in Post-Production, Outstanding Achievement in Live Sound, Start-Up Business Award, and Outstanding Achievement in a Non-Engineering role.
This year’s judges/speakers include Emily Lazar of The Lodge, Claude Zdanow of Stadiumred, Joe D’Ambrosio of JD Management, Howard Rappaport of Arlene’s Grocery, and Houston Snyder of Great City Post. The evening’s festivities will be hosted by the one and only Jillian Kelleher.
Live performances come courtesny of Nonsense, Rony’s Insomnia, F-Units, plus a Surprise Musical Performance!
The event is open to the public, and tickets are FREE; however NOTE that The Cutting Room has a $20 table minimum. Guests should be 21+. Anyone who would like to attend needs only to fill out the RSVP link HERE.
