Allen & Heath Launches Wireless Personal Monitoring for Qu Compact Mixers

Like Uber and coffee makers, wireless monitor mixing is something we’ll wonder how we ever lived without.

Can you see you with Qu-You?

Can you see you with Qu-You?

Sensing this, Allen & Heath has announced the addition of wireless personal mixing to its Qu series of compact mixers, via its free new Qu-You app.

Using Qu-You, up to seven performers can control their monitor mixes using an iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch — freeing up the engineer to focus on making the audience happy.

With its intuitive design, performers should be able to get up and running with Qu-You almost instantly. All necessary functions are within their fingertips, and are available in either orientation.

Qu-You has a “Four Wheel Drive” view presenting chunky thumbwheel level controls for four groups of sources, plus a master mute and output level control. Double tapping on a group gives access to individual channel metering, send levels and stereo pan. Groups can be named for instant recognition and channels can be assigned to groups via simple checkboxes, allowing the user to create their perfect custom mix.

Qu-You is available for free now from the Apple App Store and is compatible with Qu-16, Qu-24 and Qu-32 live, studio and installation mixers.
