iZotope Announces RX Post Production Suite and RX 5 Audio Editor

iZotope announced at IBC 2015 that they will be bundling several of their current software products to produce the RX Post Production Suite that also includes the RX 5 Audio Editor, a significant new update to its RX Platform.

iZotope’s new Post Production Suite is available now.

The RX 5 Post Production Suite includes:

RX 5 Advanced Audio Editor
RX Final Mix
RX Loudness Control
Groove3
50 free sound effects (customer’s choice) from Pro Sound Effects

RX 5 Audio Editor’s purpose is to be a single solution for common production problems. New features include:

Instant Process – ‘paint out’ unwanted sonic elements directly on the spectral display.
Module Chain – create custom processing chains to save for later as user presets.

RX Connect – Faster workflow between RX 5 and Pro Tools

RX 5 Advanced includes:

De-plosive module – New module to minimize plosives.
Leveler module – Enhanced with breath and ‘ess’ (sibilance) detection, while also performing faster than real-time leveling.
Ambience Match module – Enhanced accuracy when creating noise profiles when matching background noise to mask edit points. Ambience Match is now also available as an AudioSuite plug-in for constructing consistent ambience beds under constructed sentences and ADR lines directly from within Pro Tools and Media Composer.

RX 5 Post Production Suite is available for purchase now for $1,299 ($1,499 MSRP) until October 21^st, 2015. RX 5 Audio Editor and RX 5 Advanced Audio Editor will be available in October for new purchases, and upgrades. Starting September 9^th, those who purchase RX 4 will get a free upgrade when RX 5 is released. Promo pricing is also available for RX 4 until October 21^st, 2015: RX 4 for $299 ($349 MSRP), and RX 4 Advanced for $999 ($1,199) MSRP.

Supported plug-in formats include AU, VST, VST 3, AAX, RTAS and AudioSuite.
