Warm Audio announces the WA-47 and WA-47jr tube condenser microphones.
With the WA-47 and WA-47jr, Warm Audio aims to put the classic sound of the revered ’47 mic into the hands of all engineers, but without the hefty price tag.
Each designed to accommodate varying budgets, the WA-47 and WA-47jr are both based on the classic ‘47 microphone that has been used on countless hit records for the last 50+ years. Both mics were created for pro studio, home studio, live, and broadcast application use.
The WA-47 is an all vacuum tube, large diaphragm, transformer balanced, multi-pattern (9), condenser microphone. The WA-47jr is an FET transformerless version of the same mic, offering 3 polar patterns. Both sound great on vocals, acoustic/electric guitars, acoustic/electric bass, drums, piano, strings, brass/woodwind instruments, and an array of other sources.
Both mics utilize a custom reproduction of the vintage ’47-style capsule that was designed with the same hole pattern and frequency response as the original.
The WA-47 retails for $899; the WA-47jr retails for $299.
Eventide announces the MangledVerb reverb plugin.
Eventide adds to their H9 Signature Series of plugins with MangledVerb, a new tool for injecting a non-traditional sense of space into your productions.
MangledVerb is the newest addition to Eventide’s H9 Signature Series of plugins. It combines reverb and distortion, providing power to create unique spaces full of beauty or drenched in mayhem, with complete control over all the elements.
Eventide has repurposed MangledVerb for anyone working in the box by following in the footsteps of the first H9 Signature Series plugin, UltraTap, drawing from some of the most popular and powerful algorithms from its award-winning H9 Harmonizer® Effects Processor stompbox.
MangledVerb is available at an introductory price of $49 until November 30th, 2017 (rising to $79 thereafter). A fully-functional 30-day demo version is also available from Eventide’s website. In addition, MangledVerb is available as part of the Ensemble Subscription bundle.

The Dytronics Tri-Stereo Chorus plugin gives you all the expansive depth of the original’s three independent bucket-brigade delay lines, along with new “plugin-only” features, for tracks dripping with lush vibe and character.
Developed by Brainworx and available exclusively for UAD hardware and Apollo interfaces, the Gallien-Krueger 800RB Bass Amp is an exacting emulation of the legendary solid-state bass amp used by artists like Red Hot Chili Peppers, Radiohead, No Doubt, Guns n’ Roses, and more. The Gallien-Krueger 800RB plugin emulates the original hardware’s bi-amplified architecture, providing two different power amps—one for the lows and one for the highs. An adjustable crossover allows you to control which frequencies go to which power amp, and each has a master volume knob, making it easy to dial in just the right amount of bass or bite.
