HyVibe Audio introduces the Smart Acoustic Guitar.

HyVibe Audio implements their proprietary vibration technology into the world’s first “smart” acoustic guitar. Check out their Indiegogo page below.

HyVibe Audio, a sound technology company that uses vibration technology to create the purest possible sound from any object, announces the world’s first smart acoustic guitar. The HyVibe Guitar uses this proprietary vibration technology and a wireless Bluetooth connection to become its own connected speaker, multi-effect processor, recorder, and amplifier—without all the cables, amps, or pedals.

The HyVibe Guitar begins with a solid AA spruce top for the best natural vibrations and custom-built specs for the ultimate in playability. HyVibe then introduces their proprietary algorithms and multiple actuators to transform the natural vibrations of the guitar from the top plate, by the bridge where the instrument performs best, to add high quality effects. Digital recording and looping features are included for convenient songwriting, performing, and practice. Finally, wireless Bluetooth technology is embedded, along with an Android and iOS App, connecting the guitar and its player to the world.

Lectrosonics announces the Duet digital wireless monitor system is now shipping.

Lectrosonics offers a powerful wireless IEM solution in their new Duet system, featuring the M2T dual-stereo transmitter and M2R diversity belt pack receiver.

The new Duet IEM system by Lectrosonics is comprised of the M2T dual-stereo half-rack transmitter and M2R diversity belt pack receiver. The Duet covers the UHF frequencies of 470-608 MHz in a single range, uses digital modulation for transmission, and can accept analog or Dante™ (optional) digital inputs. The new system is designed and developed with professional touring, installation, theater, filmmaking and broadcast customers in mind.

The M2T half-rack transmitter houses two independent stereo transmitters. The analog input connectors are full size XLR/TRS combo types for balanced line level analog signals, while the input preamp circuits use a special balanced amplifier with very high common mode rejection to minimize hum and noise.

The M2R bodypack receiver features 24-bit digital audio for high resolution sound quality with wide dynamic range, low noise floor, and rock-solid stereo image. The headphone jack is fed from a high-quality stereo amplifier with 250 mW available to drive headphones or earphones to sufficient levels for stage performance or other noisy environments. A high-resolution, color LCD allows for a wide range of menu options, including precise limiter settings, using detailed graphics.

Pricing for the Duet digital wireless system TBD.

sonible releases smart:EQ as latency-free live plugin.

sonible’s smart:EQ is a forward-thinking and powerful tool that utilizes AI to adjust its algorithms in order to best suit the incoming signal—and now it’s available latency-free for live applications.

smart:EQ live belongs to the latest generation of AI mixing assistants. Rather than offering a one-size-fits-all solution, sonible provides a sophisticated and powerful EQing tool. The plugin provides detailed but intuitive controls, and allows adjusting of the algorithm to the mixing task at hand. Informed by years of hands-on experience, the practice-oriented selection of parameters facilitates a targeted adaptation and control of the smart:engine algorithm to your purposes. Bandwidth, responsiveness, and the weighting of the autonomous calculated filter curve can be precisely defined. The threshold and the limit line of the smart-band primes the algorithm for the essential signal components.

Custom-made profiles add even more flexibility by optimizing the smart algorithm for different source signals. The profiles tell the AI what kind of instrument or voice it deals with. Similar to a preset, you can edit and save them individually.
