Hot off the heels of a well-attended weekend at BerkleeNYC (formerly Avatar) in October, the METAlliance (Music Engineering and Technical Alliance) is presenting its 2018 immersive recording workshop March 10 & 11 at Capitol Studios in Hollywood.

“In Session with The Guys” attendees will participate and interact with the METAlliance founders in live recording and mixing sessions.  By special arrangement, The METAlliance is taking over the historic Capitol Studios for the entire weekend.

Previous METAlliance Academy events in Hollywood and New York City have been intense weekends covering every aspect of recording from mic technique and recording basic tracks to critical listening and advanced mixing. The sessions host a diverse group of students, pros, educators and recording beginners.

Award-winning audio engineers and producers Chuck Ainlay, Ed Cherney, Frank Filipetti, George Massenburg, Elliot Scheiner, Al Schmitt will all be on hand. Together, they help attendees to experience “living history” while learning invaluable techniques with the master audio practitioners who founded the METAlliance. Every attendee will participate in four sessions, each designed to provide different experiences in the recording process and led by the founding members. Space is very limited.

Amenities include lunch and giveaways.

Visit METAlliance for more information and to register. Price is $1950, with earlybird registration through December 31 ($150 off).
