LA Event Alert: 4th Annual Guild of Music Supervisors Conference – 9/15

Synch licensing music for media, along with the music supervisors who make it happen, are squarely in the spotlight at the 4th Annual Guild of Music Supervisors Conference. A full-day event for the first time in its history, GMS Conference 2018 takes places Saturday, September 15th from 9 AM-10 PM at the University of Southern California.

Presented by the esteemed Guild of Music Supervisors in collaboration with the USC Thornton School of Music Industry Program, GMS Con 2018 has appeal for many in the music industry, with the ability to learn from and network with: music supervisors, composers, music publishers, record labels, production libraries, music attorneys, recording artists, artist managers, film and television producers and directors, music editors, entertainment educators, and studio and network executives.

Following a keynote address in the morning, GMS Con 2018 will offer a rush of information. 28 panels, lectures and AV presentations will be spread across six locations. Across the board, the emphasis will be on music in film, TV, advertising, games, promos and trailers. Confirmed appearances include Jim James (My Morning Jacket) live performance, the music team from Black Panther, a Prince “Purple Rain” retrospective, the legacy of composer Jóhann Jóhannsson, music supervisors Alex Patsavas, John Houlihan, Manish Raval, Frankie Pine, Julianne Jordan, Julia Michels, Steven Gizicki, and many more.
