NYC Event: AMS Neve Genesys Black Training, Part 2 – April 16th, Grey Noise Studios

Last month, those who were expecting just another console run-through at just another studio for Part 1 of the AMS Neve Genesys Black Training series got a lot more than they bargained for.

You just don’t know WHO will show! (l-r) Super producer Jerry Wonda and his elite engineer Serge Tsai dropped in on the March session.

Instead, positive vibes, networking and new friendships were all part of the evening at the highly inviting Grey Noise Studios in Times Square. Best of all, everyone in attendance got a much better understanding of Neve Genesys Black’s – a desk whose unique capabilities become readily apparent when experienced in person.

Now the Part 2 training session has the same skilled team of AMS Neve’s James Townend and Pro Audio Design’s Dave Malekpour back at Grey Noise Studios this Tuesday, April 16^th, from 5:30-7:30. Grey Noise is located at 723 7^th Avenue, third floor.

Tickets are free but you must RSVP here. Refreshments, including adult beverages, will be served. NOTE: When reserving tickets for a small group session you MUST ALSO reserve a Main Event ticket (more details below).

This time, Townend will not only demonstrate various tips and tricks on how to use the console’s features, but he will also be giving visitors a chance to compare the sonic differences between the Genesys Black’s built-in EQs and a vintage 1084 EQ. It’s a no-holds barred faceoff between classic analog circuits and the plugin versions of those same circuits!!!

In addition, the April 16 event will give attendees the opportunity to sign up for a small one-hour group session with a hands-on experience to hear their own mixes through the Genesys Black. The sessions will provide the opportunity to ask questions and learn from Townend and Malekpour.
