New Gear Alert: Holiday Bundle via Novation’s Sound Collective, Bitwig Studio 3.1, PreSonus ATOM x Ableton & More

Novation announces the Sound Collective x Holiday Bundle 2019.

Novation’s Sound Collective x Holiday Bundle 2019 features powerful creative tools from iZotope, Tracktion, and more.

From November 21st 2019 to February 6th 2020, Novation’s Sound Collective members can download iZotope Trash 2, KV331 Audio SynthMaster Player, D16 Group Nithonat, Puremagnetik Lo-Fi Ambient Tools, and Tracktion Software BioTek for free.

iZotope’s Trash 2 is a dual-stage multiband distortion effect with over 60 diverse distortion and saturation algorithms, an editable graphic waveshaper, two filters, a convolution processor, multiband compression and gating, and a delay module.

The KV331 Audio SynthMaster Player, running the full Synthmaster engine under the hood, features 1800 macro-controlled factory presets powered by multiple synthesis techniques and taking in everything from basses, leads and keys, to pads, arps and FX.

D16 Group’s Nithonat is a flawless emulation of Roland‘s classic TR-606 drum machine, expanding on the original silver box with an array of extra controls and improved step sequencing.

Puremagnetik’s Lo-Fi Ambient Tools is a plugin triple-header, comprising the Verv “sun-baked” string synth, Pastfabric granular and tape splicing-style audio deconstruction effect, and Fathoms ambience- and drone-generator.

Tracktion Software’s BioTek brings together an innovative synthesis engine and a library of sampled natural, urban, and mechanical sounds in a macro-driven plugin instrument like no other.

Announcing Bitwig Studio 3.1.

Bitwig Studio 3.1 has arrived, offering crucial improvements to workflow, editing, and more.

The first half of 2019 saw the release of Bitwig Studio 3, which delivered a brand new modular sound design environment, The Grid. As Bitwig Studio 3 was about expressing new sound design ideas, Bitwig Studio 3.1 extends the idea of pitch, a fundamental part of music that often goes untapped.

In addition, the developers at Bitwig have included various workflow improvements that make editing easier, all while staying in a music creation mode. Further additions to Bitwig Studio 3.1 include (but are not limited to): cue volume and mix control, wavetable WAV file importing, note chase, new Grid modules, additional controller support, and more.

To learn more about the new features available in Bitwig 3.1, check out this video.

Bitwig Studio 3.1 beta is now available to all customers with a Bitwig Studio license and an active upgrade plan. The expected release date of Bitwig Studio 3.1 is in the next few weeks.

Ableton Live now offering in-depth support for PreSonusATOM pad controller.

Ableton implements crucial in-depth support for the PreSonus ATOM controller into Live 10.1.5 and later.

PreSonus and Ableton have joined forces to offer deep ATOM integration with Ableton’s Live software (version 10.1.5 and later), giving electronic musicians and producers an extraordinary combination of world-class production and live performance tools.

Start your production with ATOM and Studio One, then perform it onstage, using ATOM to launch clips and scenes in Ableton Live, change track volume and panning, and switch between Session and Arranger views—all while playing virtual instruments and Live’s Drum Rack device from ATOM’s 16 velocity- and pressure-sensitive pads.

Navigate Live’s mixer using ATOM’s Channel mode, where you can select, solo, and record-enable channels, as well as stop all clips on a selected channel. Take advantage of the dedicated User mode to create custom user assignments, metronome on/off, save and undo, loop on/off, and more.

To take your performance to the next level, add a second ATOM to your Live setup, using one ATOM to perform and the other to launch and record clips—or play one ATOM with each hand, or even equip multiple musicians with ATOMs. Two or more ATOM MIDI pad controllers can also be used to extend the performance range for your instruments and Drum Rack.

ATOM-Live integration requires Live version 10.1.5 and later and ATOM firmware version 3.4, which is now available using PreSonus Universal Control version 3.1.2.

Masterlab Audio releases DynaQ.

Take a unique and cutting-edge approach to EQ with Masterlab Audio’s DynaQ, featuring dynamic split processing.

After more than one year of research and development, Masterlab Audio is happy to present DynaQ, the first audio plugin with dynamic split processing.

Filtering and sound shaping are essential when it comes to balancing out recordings, fitting signals into the mix, or doing creative sound design. But what might be great for the loud part of the signal, is not necessarily good for the quiet part, and vice versa.

With DynaQ, Masterlab Audio has invented a completely new but very simple approach to dynamic selective processing. This not only allows you to add complex filtering curves very fast, but also analog-style saturation and stereo widening.

Key features of DynaQ include (but are not limited to): 2 dynamic sections (“Below” & “Above”), a 5-band equalizer for each dynamic section, analog-style saturation per dynamic section, and more.

DynaQ is available in VST2, VST3, AU, and AAX Native plugin formats on macOS and Windows, priced at €89.
