New Gear Alert: Eventide’s MicroPitch for DAWs, EQ1 by Softube & Weiss, Marco Minnemann Drums from Steinberg & More

Eventide releases the MicroPitch dual-voice pitch shifter for Mac and PC.

Eventide has ported their MicroPitch effect from iOS and the H9 platform directly to your DAW.

MicroPitch is the latest incarnation of an iconic effect originated by Eventide in the 1970s. With each generation, Eventide has added to, refined, enhanced, and built on its legendary predecessors.

MicroPitch is a fine-resolution pitch shifter providing effects that range from subtle tone fattening to dramatic slap-back effects via longer delays. MicroPitch goes above and beyond the run-of-mill stereo spread effects of simple micropitch plugins by allowing you to mix in detuned and delayed versions of a source, creating depth and dimensions not possible before. Its expanded controls make possible deep pitch dives, haunting echoes, and pristine chorusing effects.

Joining the iOS version of the app (which works as a standalone app, AudioUnit v3 plugin, or Inter-App Audio effect), MicroPitch for Mac and PC supports VST, AAX, and AU plugin protocols for compatibility with every DAW. MicroPitch is available for a special introductory price of $39 through May 31st (reg. $99).

Softube & Weiss release the EQ1 plugin & more.

Softube & Weiss join forces to deliver the EQ1 mastering equalizer plugin—and then some.

Weiss Engineering’s EQ1 has been a world renowned digital mastering equalizer since its release in 1996. The triumphant sonic qualities of EQ1—combined with its flexibility as a minimum phase EQ, a linear phase EQ, or a dynamic EQ—have made it one of the most highly-prized equalizers available. A line-by-line code port of the original hardware—with added functionality and ergonomics—the Weiss EQ1 plugin is the latest and greatest of Softube’s successful partnership with Weiss Engineering.

Next to enter the arena is the Weiss Gambit Series for Console 1. Based on the 1:1 code ports of Weiss DS1-MK3 and Weiss EQ1, the Gambit Series channel strip combines core processing elements from these two units into one channel strip for the software/hardware hybrid Console 1.

Softube is also releasing the Weiss Complete Collection, which includes six collaborative Weiss products: the EQ1 and Gambit Series for Console 1, the DS1-MK3, plus MM-1, Compressor/Limiter, and Deess. This collection gives you indispensable, high-end Weiss mastering at a fraction of the price when purchased separately.
