Association of Independent Music Publishers Names John Ozier National Chair, Announces 2021 Events

Songwriter catalogs have escalated sharply in value in recent months following high-profile sales by the likes of Bob Dylan, Steve Nicks, and Shakira, shining a brighter spotlight on music publishing.

Nashville-based John Ozier is the new National Chair for AIMP.

The Association of Independent Music Publishers (AIMP) is instrumental in keeping music publishers, including those formed by recording studios and producers, informed about breaking industry trends and practices. The Executive Committee of the Association of Independent Music Publishers (AIMP) announced that the highly respected music industry executive Jon Ozier has been named its new National Chair. Ozier, EVP Creative at Reservoir Media Management, has been President of the Nashville Chapter since 2015.

Ozier succeeds Teri Nelson-Carpenter, who remains the President of the Los Angeles Chapter. AIMP National Chairs are selected from the three chapter presidents by the Executive Committee, and serve one two-year term.

The organization will continue to have its events as webinars in the coming months. AIMP will host an online version of its Global Music Publishing Summit June 7-9. See more details on this and other upcoming events by visiting here.
