Howie Weinberg is one of the most prolific mastering engineers in the history of recorded music. Hyperbole? Absolutely not.

From Nirvana and Smashing Pumpkins, Metallica to Slayer, De La Soul to Public Enemy, Howie has been at least  partly responsible for the sound of so many of the biggest selling hits from the 1990s, 2000s and beyond.

Justin Colletti of SonicScoop joined up with Plugin Alliance to talk to Howie about his approach to EQ in mastering and a whole lot more.
