Event Alert: Screening of JMI “Above & Below” Tonight, Sunday, 6/12
NYC record label ModyWorks, in association with Voyager Films, will hold a screening premiere of the short film JMI: Above and Below tonight, Sunday, at 9:30 PM, at Arlene’s Grocery.
The screening will be followed by a Q&A with JMI, the director Scott Elias Felluss, ModyWorks’ publicist Pati deVries, and Producer/ModyWorks President & CEO Almamy.
ModyWorks explains the new film, being released on 6/13, this way:
“No matter what, the show must go on! That’s the attitude ModyWorks’ up-and-coming singer-songwriter JMI assumes the day she decides to throw a self-promoted show in Bushwick, Brooklyn, on her March 27th, 2011 birthday. ABOVE AND BELOW charts the mayhem and captures the spirit of the New York underground music scene. In Scott Elias Felluss’ short film, we get a glimpse into just what it takes to ‘make it.’”
