Zenph Sound Innovations Releases RePerform Piano Editing Software

Zenph Sound Innovations announced the availability of RePerform, a new software application for editing piano performances.

For the next two months, RePerform will be available as a free download in a “Preview” edition. This initial version will expire when the commercial version of RePerform is released in August 2011.

RePerform is some highly specific software: it’s a piano-focused MIDI editor that works exclusively with files that have been recorded on Yamaha Disklavier Pro and Disklavier pianos. According to Zenph, the software is the first commercial product that understands the musical nuances of the highly complex and interwoven MIDI files produced by the Disklavier Pro. Until now, it has been impractical for pianists to edit their Disklavier Pro high-resolution XP files.
