Antelope Introduces Four New Products at AES 139 in NYC

Antelope rolled out a trifecta of new hardware products for us at last week’s AES 139: the 10MX Atomic Clock, Orion 32+, Orion Studio, plus a new software reverb, AuraVerb.

The Orion 32+ builds on the Orion 32 platform, delivering 32 inputs and outputs via USB, MADI, and Thunderbolt. Mastering-grade stereo outputs are included for monitoring, along with dual ADAT lightpipe optical I/Os, a 10M atomic input, word clock in and two word clock outs, and stereo S/PDIF in and out. Resolutions up to 24-bit/192kHz are supported.

The powerful onboard DSP processor provides customized EQs and compressors as well as Antelope’s new AuraVerb reverb. Five routing/setup presets can be accessed from the front panel and the accompanying free software control app provides advanced signal routing with four separate mixers and intelligent DSP effects integration.

Orion Studio

The Orion Studio is a 1U rackspace audio interface combines Thunderbolt, and USB compatibility. The interface is able to simultaneously process 32 channels of 192 kHz audio at near zero latency levels. The Orion Studio also includes Antelope’s DSP engine for running EQ, compressor, and reverb effects. The Orion Studio Is also compatible with the Antelope’s Acoustically Focused Clocking (AFC), found in the Antelope Trinity, and the new 10MX Atomic Clock.

In Antelope Audio’s own words, the 10MX Atomic Clock is ‘The culmination of two decades of Leadership in digital audio technologies’. Beginning in 2005, founder Igor Levin and Antelope Audio released the oven-controlled crystal oscillator. Two decades of the refinement process, and Antelope Audio is now releasing the 10MX Atomic Clock. The new clocking device comes equipped with the oven-controlled tech of the 10M, as well as the new generation Acoustically Focused Clocking (AFC) from Antelope’s Trinity.

The 10MX Atomic Clock can support clocking of up to 10 devices with sampling rates up to 768 kHz.
