Antelope Audio announces Zen Studio+.

Zen Studio+ features the addition of firewire connectivity along with a new customizable routing matrix and a powerful range of FPGA effects.

Antelope Audio, a company well-known for specializing in Field Programmable Gate Array-based vintage FX modeling, announces the latest innovation in its Zen Studio family of recording interfaces: Zen Studio+.

Incorporating the same key features included in Zen Studio — including 12 studio quality built-in microphone preamps and extensive I/O — Zen Studio+ adds Thunderbolt™ connectivity and a powerful range of hardware-based Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) effects.

A customizable routing matrix helps establish exactly the right signal flow for the way that you work, and makes incorporating outboard hardware and FPGA FX rudimentary. Built-in talkback control is also featured within the unit.

Pricing for Zen Studio+ is not available as of yet.

Auralex rings in their 40th anniversary with some exciting new announcements.

The Auralex SonoSuede and ProMAX 2 lines are great for both small and medium sized studios, as well as professional mixing and mastering suites.

Auralex is now shipping their 40th Anniversary Edition ProPanel™ ProKit-1™ and ProKit-2™ kits, the popular all-in-one acoustical room treatment systems designed to address the acoustic and aesthetic needs of the small and medium-sized project studio (ProKit-1) as well as the most demanding professional mix/mastering environments (ProKit-2).

Auralex SonoSuede ProKit-1 and ProKit-2 room treatment systems are available in two fabric choices (red or black) and include all mounting hardware. Additional Cloud and Monitor Isolation packages are also available.

In addition to ProKit, Auralex have also announced the shipping their updated ProMAX™ v2 Stand-Mounted Acoustical Panels, offering a portable, lightweight, highly effective absorption treatment solution offering quick and easy setup and teardown.

The ProMAX v2 panels are designed for a variety of spaces and applications and can be implemented in any location where boundary-mounted acoustical treatments aren’t feasible or desired.

The unit features a 24” x 48” x 3″ absorptive Studiofoam™ panel with an updated angled reflective rear surface for tonal variability when rotated or flipped. By altering the quantity, orientation and spacing of multiple ProMAX v2’s, users will be able to dial in the desired amount of room ambience.

Auralex’s DeskMAX™ Stand-Mounted Acoustical Panels are now shipping as well. The DeskMAX is designed as a portable, lightweight, variable and highly effective absorption treatment. It is designed for both permanent recording and makeshift setups (for instance, podcasting), mixing and live performance applications.

The pair of 2’x2’x3” DeskMAX panels are made from Auralex Studiofoam®, mount to the included desktop stands and store in a convenient travel bag that accommodates both panels and stands.

Focusrite Releases RedNet Control 2 software.

Users can navigate RedNet Control 2 via tabs, similarly to navigating the web, making the GUI super intuitive.

Focusrite has released a major update to RedNet Control, the software system that provides remote control for products in the company’s RedNet range of Dante™-based audio-over-IP systems. RedNet users are employing and planning ever-larger RedNet systems, and RedNet Control 2 was developed in response to this trend. Feedback and comments from users played an important role in the new system’s development.

Based around a web-browser-like tabbed graphical interface, RedNet Control 2 is designed to handle any RedNet system, from just a few units up to a maximum of 600 devices. The system allows for improved device monitoring, metering and control of the majority of device parameters. Available system components are displayed graphically, and can be dragged and dropped from a sidebar list into a grid on a tab. Each of up to 50 tabs can display up to 12 devices. Devices can be grouped logically and intuitively on each page. A tab can represent one area of a multi-location system, for example.

RedNet Control 2 is available for download here.
