TransAudio Group to Distribute Dave Hill Designs Hardware, Software in U.S.

Boutique pro audio distributor/marketer TransAudio Group announced that it will distribute Dave Hill Designs hardware and software in the United States.

TransAudio Group will be distributing Dave Hill Designs' Europa 1 Class A mic pre.

Hill’s long history of designing unique analog/digital processors has earned him a cult status within the industry.

Dave Hill Designs’ new current product line is comprised of the Europa I, a class-A mic preamp with extreme control over transient response and aesthetically pleasing harmonic distortion; and the RA, a TDM plug-in that emulates amplifier overload to impress the luster of imperfection on sterile digital signals.

Hill designed many of Summit Audio’s early products, including the well-known TLA-100 tube leveling amplifier, and founded Crane Song Ltd., one of the most revered names in high-end pro audio. Most recently, he was instrumental in the design of Avid’s  “Heat” engine for Pro Tools 9.
