DigiTech Announces iPB-10, iPad Programmable Pedalboard
DigiTech, the guitar pedal manufacturer famous for their DigiTech Whammy pedal, has just announced the world’s first programmable pedalboard that utilizes the iPad – the DigiTech iPB-10. The effects pedal manufacturer seems to be in full swing summer production – recently releasing the new DigiTech Whammy DT pedal just a few weeks ago.
Bust out your iPad! And plug it -- and your guitar -- into the Digitech iPB-10.
The iPB-10 pedal board will work in conjunction with the iPB Nexus app for the iPad which gives drag and drop capabilities over different multi-effects pedal models, real-time view of the multi-effects pedals you are using as well as a personal library to store custom presets. Users will ultimately have the capability to design their own virtual pedal board while still having the full benefits of a physical pedal board – I/O options, switches/triggers, and yes…a pedal.
The DigiTech iPB-10 will ship this month (June 2011) for $699.95 MSRP and $499.95 minimum advertised price. The iPB Nexus app will also be a free download from the manufacturers site with purchase of the iPB-10. Check out the specs from DigiTech themselves:
