Reloop Launches Three Next-Gen Turntables: RP-7000, RP-7000 LTD., RP-8000
Reloop has released three new turntables proving that vinyl is alive, adaptable and kicking.
For DJs playing vinyl and DVS the Reloop RP-7000 (black) and the Reloop RP-7000 LTD. (white) are classic analog turntables. For DJs who want a little more, the Reloop RP-8000 is a dual analog turntable with built in MIDI control. The RP-8000, like the RP-7000s, has Super OEM high torque direct drivers, high resolution digital faders, three adjustable speeds and a brushed aluminum tune arm, top plate, pitch sliders and start and stop buttons.
However, the RP-8000 is a crossbreed between direct drive technology and a digital control MIDI section that can be integrated with your favorite MIDI compatible DJ software. It’s layout is classic platter turntable style but what’s new and different is the LCD pitch display and the four performance mode buttons and eight backlit MIDI drum pads. The MIDI row located to the left side allows users to add additional creativity by using the four performance mode buttons (cue, loop, sample, user) to change the function of the eight drum pads where you can load, assign and trigger: hotcues, loops, samples by layering them on top of the record that you are playing.
For a more complex turntablism performance there are many options to enhance your set. You can switch to turntable mode, which allows up to four RP-8000 turntables to be daisy chained off one single USB connection to a Mac or PC. You can also switch between two different torque options “Classic” and “HiTorque” and add complexity with a reverse switch, two start and stop buttons for vertical positioning, as well as a dial start/break and torque knobs and a button for quartz speed lock.

I wonder if these companies are taking any kind of a hit from the simple virtual turntables you can use to dj now http://l2internet.com/articles/online-dj-mixing/
