SonicScoop Wants You! Open Call for Contributors
Do you have a lot to say about sound? Do you want to expand your professional network? Do you have insights to share with your colleagues and teach to a new generation of audio engineers? Are you looking for a good excuse to audition and review the latest and greatest in audio gear?
Any of these are great reasons to write for SonicScoop, one of the most widely-read web magazines about creative audio production. We are currently looking to bring on new writers to contribute reviews, interviews, “how-to”s, opinion pieces, and feature stories.
We are especially interested in comprehensive roundups of any type of audio or studio software or gear, and “perspectives” pieces that draw expertise and experience of several producers or audio engineers.
If you don’t have any professional writing experience, SonicScoop is great place to get your first stories published and build credibility in the field. If you do have a track record as a writer or expert in audio or music, SonicScoop pays fair starting rates with room for growth based on performance. In either case, it’s a respected and credible platform with plenty of reach.
In addition to feature stories and reviews, we are also looking for regular writers to contribute regular short columns or tutorials (at least once monthly) in the following “beats”:

A great editorial team can only function sustainably thanks to a great sales team. We are now seeking additional commissioned salespeople to help grow SonicScoop, so that we can pay increasing rates to contributors, and bring better and better content to our readers.
If you would like to earn some extra money on the side while making extensive professional contacts in the studio and audio business world, this could be an ideal supplementary gig with ample room for growth. The commitment is just a handful of hours each week, and can grow based on your schedule and needs.
