Radial Now Shipping Headload Prodigy — Hybrid DI + Load Box
Radial Engineering cooked up another gadget for us – The Headload Prodigy.
Borrowing build from their original Headload guitar amp load box, the Headload Prodigy essentially brings the same tech to the more portable DI format.
The hybrid DI + load box is portable and ready to handle high-powered amps like a champ.
Utilizing cement-encrusted, ceramic-coated register coils in order to be able to withstand up to 100 watts of power. The Headload Prodigy can be used in three ways:
- DI box using the built-in JDX Reactor to emulate a 4 x 12 half stack.
- A load box to attenuate output from 100% down to 50% to drive the amp harder, while keeping volume down.
- Silent recording without a speaker cabinet – Ideal for retaining the sound of a high-powered amp in an isolated form.
Built-In headphone amp allows for silent practicing, while the rest of the I/O will get a signal to and from the Prodigy. Headphone monitoring is also accompanied by a dual-band EQ.
