New Gear Alert: AudioBox GO by PreSonus, Clarity Vx from Waves, EHX’s Nano Pulsar & More
PreSonus launches the ultra-portable AudioBox GO audio interface.
AudioBox GO is the smallest, lightest, most portable PreSonus audio interface yet. Built for musicians and producers seeking an easy and accessible way to start their journey in home music recording or content creation, AudioBox GO is compact enough to throw in a gig bag and powerful enough to be the centerpiece of a home studio. The bus-powered AudioBox GO connects via USB-C directly to Apple and Android mobile devices, as well as desktop and laptop computers, and is class-compliant, requiring no drivers or special applications, allowing you to hit record and begin creating.
AudioBox GO is loaded with connections records at resolutions up to 24-bit, 96 kHz for professional results. The combo mic/line combo input can be used to connect microphones or synths and features PreSonus’ proprietary XMAX-L preamp design. A second instrument input is provided to track guitar or bass simultaneously. In addition, a pair of balanced TRS, 1/4-inch outputs feeds studio monitors, and a high-powered headphone output provides performance monitoring at zero-latency.

Waves debuts the Clarity Vx and Clarity Vx Pro plugins.
Clarity Vx and Clarity Vx Pro offer noise reduction solutions for vocal and voice recordings, powered by Waves’ AI audio technology, Waves Neural Networks. The plugin isolate vocals from ambience and background noise, removing the noise instantly, in real time, and at the highest fidelity, without any artifacts. This way you can quickly clean any vocal or voice recording quickly, and get it ready for your music mix, production, podcast or video.
Clarity Vx and Clarity Vx Pro share the same Neural Networks audio engine, the same superior audio fidelity, and the same instant real-time workflow. Clarity Vx is the simpler of the two, made for music producers, mixers and musicians, as well as podcast and video creators; whereas Clarity Vx Pro is the more advanced version, adding surgical features designed primarily for post-production engineers.

Electro-Harmonix releases the Nano Pulsar pedal.
True to the original, the new Nano Pulsar by Electro-Harmonix features an adjustable variable LFO waveshape that can be set to Triangle, Sawtooth, and Square waveforms and can be morphed into all shapes in between.
Push the Depth knob past its max setting and the waveform starts to invert in on itself and you get an inverted phase tremolo like no other. The Nano Pulsar also now features a volume control to get the perfect level for you tremolo tone. Set it up in stereo to be tossed amongst the waves.

Softube releases the Vocoder plugin.
Softube’s Vocoder features a six-voice carrier synth with MIDI capability and an easy-to-use attack/hold/decay envelope. The unusual and inspired Freeze section adds to Vocoder’s creative potential. Using Vocoder, you can get the feel of vintage vocoding machines coupled with Softube-quality sound, workflow, and innovation.
Some of Vocoder’s many features include four selectable waveforms, MIDI capability, the aforementioned Freeze section which allows rhythmic hold of certain formants manually and via MIDI Notes or a DAW Sync, and much more.
