AEA Debuts N22 — NUVO Series Phantom-Powered Ribbon Mic

Gentleman engineer Wes Dooley and his dedicated crew at AEA have been producing ribbon mics and pres out of Pasadena, CA since 1964 and they say that all of their work has lead them up to this: the production of a one-of-a-kind ribbon mic.

The N22 NUVO Series ribbon mic utilizes modern techniques to allow this ribbon mic to work in a variety of applications as a go-to mic for musician and engineer alike.

The N22 is designed to provide highly desirable ribbon tone, without the need for EQ.

The N22 minimizes the need for EQ, has a reduced proximity effect due to a sturdy ribbon design, and is phantom powered for use with a variety of preamps and much more. Yes. This is real life.

The N22 will be available on October 21 at $999 MSRP/$899 Street. The first public viewing will be at the 135th AES show in NYC.
