Avid Launches Two New Mobile Audio Interfaces – Fast Track Solo and Duo, with iPad Support
The ability to go mobile is never a bad thing.
Avid is tipping its hat to that fact with two new portable audio interfaces: Avid Fast Track Solo, and Fast Track Duo. Solo has one mic preamp and one instrument input, while Duo doubles your pleasure.
Aimed at “musicians, students, and aspiring professionals” the new Fast Track interfaces nonetheless should appeal to audio professionals who want a mobile device built from the ground up on the Pro Tools platform. Both are built to take a beating, and include Pro Tools Express software for Mac and PC. Significantly, they each also connect directly to the iPad, providing I/O for supported iOS apps.
Fast Track Solo and Duo are available now at Avid resellers, with online Avid Store availability imminent. MSRP for Fast Track Solo is $179 USD, with Duo going for $299 USD. Here are more specs, as supplied by Avid:
