Behringer Announces iSTUDIO Audio Interface for iPad and iPad 2

With winter NAMM 2012 at an official end there are sure to be dozens of new products that people are buzzing about. One that caught our eye was the iSTUDIO from Behringer. With the iSTUDIO, Behringer aims to make all variations of audio capturing and production a simple process that will only get better with the ever increasing library of the App Store.

iSTUDIO's rugged case is an accident-prone musician's dream.

The Behringer iSTUDIO is currently pending FCC verification and simply cannot have a release date until it reaches compliance with all of the applicable technical standards and regulations…fiddlesticks! So I suppose we will provide more in-depth details from Behringer themselves:

“Vitally Versitile

The iSTUDIO features two combination XLR – 1/4″ inputs, each with its own Gain control and switchable phantom power for use with condenser microphones. These inputs will accept analog signals from virtually any piece of audio gear including amps, mixers and external preamps. A guitar or electric bass can be connected directly to the iSTUDIO thanks to the built-in Hi-Z switch, enabling performers to play, perform and record straight into amplifier- and FX-modeling apps. We’ve also included a stereo Aux Input, allowing you to connect a wide range of line-level sources, even a turntable perfect for DJs or for archiving your precious vinyl collection.
