Black Iris Music (Feat. Rachel Fannan) Produces “Beautiful Dreamer” For TV Spot and Now Digital Release
The NYC/LA/Richmond-based Black Iris Music is releasing a new arrangement of “Beautiful Dreamer” they originally produced for a TV spot via GREY New York.
The track, featuring vocalist Rachel Fannan of Only You, originally scored Canon USA’s national commercial “Inspired,” and reportedly generated such a positive response that Black Iris, GREY Advertising, and Canon USA have teamed up to release a full-length version of the song. The full-length song will be available on iTunes starting this Friday, December 21, 2012. (Click for an advance stream of the song.) Black Iris Music will be donating all of proceeds from the sale of the single to victims of Hurricane Sandy through Occupy Sandy.
Reportedly…the collaboration came together when GREY approached Black Iris seeking an original production of the classic tune. Black Iris composer Rob Barbato (Darker My Love, Bleached) created the new arrangement and the collective auditioned several vocalists before casting White Iris artist Rachel Fannan. Fannan recorded vocals for the track in NY under the supervision of GREY and Black Iris Music.
