Chad Smith, Mike Portnoy, Jason Corsaro Track At Barber Shop Studios (NJ)

The Barber Shop Studios – located on Lake Hopatcong, NJ – experienced a “quake on the lake” recently, having some heavy-hitting drummers in for sessions for a Hudson Music project.

Both Chad Smith of Red Hot Chili Peppers and Mike Portnoy of Dream Theater (and Adrenaline Mob/Flying Colors) were in the studio tracking drums for this project.

In other sessions, recording engineer Jason Corsaro (Madonna, Duran Duran, Soundgarden) just finished recording with up-and-coming rock duo, Isle of Rhodes. Look out for their album All Rivers and Oceans on Machine Dream Records.

And Martin Guitars and The Barber Shop Studios have been working together to create “a new innovative instrument that looks and sounds like nothing that has ever been released.” Stay tuned for more on that!
