Event Alert: Alto NYC Presents An Evening With Lindell Audio

On Tuesday, October 18, Alto Music NYC will host a special event with Swedish audio manufacturer Lindell Audio at their Manhattan studio-showroom.

Come out for a demonstration of Lindell’s 17X Compressor/Limiter in Alto’s critical listening environment. Event starts at 6PM. (Details/RSVP below)

Lindell’s 17X is a one-channel transformer coupled compressor/limiter. It is a FET design that incorporates features such as “High Pass Sidechain Filter,” “Mix Knob” – mix between dry and wet signal (parallel compression) – and “Signal High Pass and Low Pass Filters” – smooth 6db/oct filters that “colors the sound nicely.”

According to Lindell…

“The 17X is our take on the classic “1176 Sound”. It can be smooth or it can be a rock’n’roll monster when using ratio 100:1 (all in).” Listen to some sound examples here.

Lindell Audio started out in Studio Bohus (Beck, Max Martin) in Sweden – designing and building custom recording studio and mastering loudspeakers.

The 17X is a joint venture between producer/mixer Tobias Lindell and IGS Audio.
