Frequency Recording Hosts Sessions for Marty Bartolomeo, Tim Flocke, Fundimensionals

The Mt. Vernon facility Frequency Recording, founded by engineer Rich Fabrizio, closed out the year with a burst of activity, with a busy January 2012 ahead.

The Fundimensionals will be back in the saddle with Rich Fabrizio at Frequency Recording this month.

Recent sessions at the studio, which features an 18 x 23 x 11 live room, include a project for piano player/composer Marty Bartolome called Keys to Survival.

“Marty brought in players from around NY and put together a nice ‘blues/ragtime’ record,” Fabrizio says. “We recorded all the vocals, stringed instruments and horns. I mixed and mastered the record with my UAD-based Logic System and Dangerous music summing and monitoring.”

Fabrizio also wrapped the latest in a series of drum “remix” videos with local hard rock drummer Tim Flocke. The latest example is “DJ Maj – Carol of the Kings Featuring Gabe Real & Liquid (Tim Flocke Drum Remix).”

Next on the agenda in January is Fabrizio’s second album project with emerging jam band The Fundimensionals. Tracking and mixing will take place at Frequency, followed by a final stop with Dave Kutch at The Mastering Palace.
