The Williamburg arts collective known as Vaudeville Park has an intriguing live music lineup this Sunday, Feb. 12th. Starting at 7:00 PM ($8) cover, you can catch all three fascinating artists.

LULLABIES FOR FALLING EMPIRES

Lullabies for Falling Empires featuring composer Richard Webb will be recording an album in Iceland this summer with Sigur Ros. This will be their second Brooklyn show and will feature new material.

BRENT ARNOLD
Brent Arnold is a cellist and composer with a wildly unorthodox approach, using amplification, guitar-like fingerpicking, electronics, and techniques from Arabic, Eastern, and African music. He has worked with DJ/Rupture, Modest Mouse, Wayne Horvitz, Eyvind Kang, Sleater-Kinney, Death in Vegas, and Filastine. He composed the cello music for Louis C.K.’s show “Louie” and numerous films and shorts.

AGENTS OF WOE
Agents of Woe are a duo based in New York City, by way of their native Memphis. Though they relocated some 1,100 miles, they carried with them the soulful influences that run deep in the delta. Add to that a healthy appetite for classic House and Techno, and you have a densely layered signature sound that weaves together dance music’s multiple threads of decades past.

Richard Gamble provides vocals and keyboards, while Jackson Lee brings his production wizardry to beats and additional synthesizers. Together they create a distinct hybrid of insistent electronic rhythms and futuristic soul. Having equal appreciation for slow jams and dancefloor heaters further contributes to their genre-splitting repertoire, making for a versatile, crowd driven set that navigates the depths of New York’s musical landscape.
