Gig Alert: Marilyn Carino w/Dred Scott Trio at Blue Note, March 2nd

When we last saw Brooklyn dark-dream chanteuse Marilyn Carino in October, she was just on the launch pad for her new record, Little Genius.

The Late Nite Groove Series can start up soon enough...

Things are moving up for this Bensonhurst muse, as evidenced by her show tomorrow night, Friday March 2nd, at none other than the famed Blue Note. At the stroke of midnight, Carino’s haunting vocals will spill out over an electronic/organic backdrop.

And if that’s not enough, NYC’s Dred Scott Trio  (Dred Scott – piano, Ben Rubin – bass, Graham Hawthorne – drums, Dave Smith – trumpet) will be sharing the stage in this latest Late Nite Groove Series.
