Gig Alert: SingSOS Benefit for Autism at The Bitter End

In effort to raise awareness for autism, SingSOS is holding its Songs of the Spectrum benefit CD release concert on Wednesday April 7th at The Bitter End. Along with the SingSOS band, led by Mike Visceglia, featured artists include Dar Williams, Marshall Crenshaw, Christina Courtin, Ari Hest, Fiona McBain of Ollabelle, The Cucumbers, and Kelly Flint, all who appear on Songs of the Spectrum.

The CD contains additional performances by Jackson Browne, Jonatha Brooke, Teddy Geiger, Dan Bern, Richard Julian, Valerie Carter, Don Dixon & Marti Jones, and Mike Viola. The songs are all collaborations between Jon Fried and Deena Shoshkes of The Cucumbers and New York Times editor Jon O’Neil, whose 2004 essay for the paper about his autistic son James was part of a Pulitzer Prize-nominated series.

Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at the door or in advance through TicketWeb. Doors open at 7 pm with the show starting at 8 pm. The address is as follows:
