Gig Alert! Zs Celebrating Release of “New Slaves” Tonight, Tuesday 5/11, at the Knitting Factory

Brooklyn’s Zs are releasing their first full-length album today on the label The Social Registry.

Entitled New Slaves, the album was recorded entirely at the Brooklyn-based studio Python Patrol. To celebrate the release, this experimental three piece of Sam Hillmer (tenor sax and pedals), Ben Greenberg (electric guitar and electronics), Ian Antonio (percussion and electronics), will have their record release party at the Knitting Factory tonight, Tuesday, May 11th.

For those who haven’t heard Zs yet, expect a filthy, swirling mind-bender of a trip. Excruciating, amazing, horrifying, aimless, and highly structured all at once, this is the avant-garde on the attack. Proceed…but with caution.
