Gobbler Arrives on PC

For those outlaw music professionals who have a PC in their setup, Gobbler has officially arrived: The cloud data storage service for digital media creators has announced its availability for users on the PC/Windows platform.

Fire up the PC and install ya some Gobbler!

Gobbler was previously available only for Apple Macintosh and iOS. At present, Gobbler is already being utilized by more than 40,000 media creators — artists, musicians, pro audio engineers, producers and more — for its file-transfer capabilities.

PC users who sign up between now and August 6th will get 5 GB free of pro audio collaboration firepower to work with.

Requirements for PC users are Windows (7, XP SP3 32/64 bit, Vista 32/64 bit); 2 GB of RAM; 100 MB of hard drive space for installation; and a high-speed internet connection.

Gobbler is a fast and efficient way to put the cloud to work: It scans all drives, catalogs the location of all audio in addition to automatically updating changes made to files and can send files of any size to anyone. Using Gobbler, PC and Mac users alike now have the ability to set Gobbler to monitor and automatically backup a project with a collaborator, then send the entire project and all its associated files securely and quickly.

As Gobbler does for Mac and iOS, it automatically catalogs all media project types even if they were not previously backed up. According to the company, receiving projects in Gobbler is faster and more secure than traditional transfer methods such as FTP or email.

In addition, Gobbler has announced new pricing terms and larger account spaces. New users can either choose
