The “what if” minds at IK Multimedia have released two new audio interfaces created specifically with guitarists and bassists in mind – the StealthPlug CS and the StealthPedal CS.
The StealthPlug is basically an audio interface-in-a-cable while the StealthPedal looks like a wah pedal – but don’t let that fool you! It’s actually a fully functioning interface with assignable parameters through the AmpliTube Custom Shop (CS) software. Both interfaces ship with IK’s own AmpliTube Custom Shop where you can spend the included “credits” to purchase and use digital replicas of some of greatest tone shapers available and get a personalized tone for live or studio purposes.

With the StealthPlug, you get 9 full feet of room to stretch out, stand up, jump jive and wail. Simply plug the 1/4” end into your instrument and the USB end into your computer. (It doesn’t work the other way… we tried.) There’s a 1/8” mini-plug jack for your headphones (neighbor-friendly) or powered speakers (non-neighbor friendly) so you can hear what you’re doing. There’s a dual-button volume control in case the police show, and a couple of pretty colored lights you can use to land small aircraft.

Look Wah — No Hands!
StealthPedal is also a controller. Don’t let that scare you, it’s actually a great thing. It means that once you get hooked up, you can also assign software parameters to it’s knobs, switches and pedal attenuator. And with our software, if you know how to right-click a mouse button, you know how to assign a function to a button. It’s so easy even a “pizza delivery person” could do it. Really — that easy. So, now you don’t have to “wah” with your mouse. You can do it the way you’ve always known how to… with your feet.
In In Out Out — Getting Connected.
You get two ins — and two outs. This way you can connect a couple of instruments, or a stereo source, and run the outs in stereo or dual mono. This allows you to take advantage of the stereo effects of the software if you have it set up that way. The functionality of the StealthPedal is expandable — you can also add an additional expression pedal via the “expression pedal” ¼” jack, and you can add a dual-button footswitch. Why?
