LaCie Announces Super Fast d2 Thunderbolt 2 External Hard Drive

The latest in LaCie’s d2 line, Thunderbolt 2 comes available with USB 3.0 and – you guessed it – dual Thunderbolt 2 ports. The Thunderbolt 2 has transfer speeds of 220MB/s and higher. Those requiring more speed can install LaCie’s d2 SSD Upgrade, taking transfer rates up to 1,150MB/s.
LaCie’s d2 Thunderbolt 2 features an aluminum unibody for quiet operation.
LaCie’s d2 Thunderbolt 2 is available now in three models: 3 TB ($299 MSRP), 4 TB ($399 MSRP), and 6 TB ($499 MSRP). The 128GB d2 SSD Upgrade will be available for $299 MSRP. Pricing TBA on USB 3.0 only versions.
