Lavry Engineering Announces Quintessence Gold Series DAC

The mathematical magic of Dan Lavry has created a dedicated following for the converters produced by Lavry Engineering.

A new addition is the Quintessence Gold Series DAC — arriving at the top of to their line — and it’s about to add to the mystique.

Lavry

The Lavry Quintessence, an elite new DA converter, accepts sample rates up to 192 kHz.

Quintessence is designed to up the ante on the Lavry DA924, which has long been prized by mixing and mastering engineers for its accuracy, transparency, musicality, and dynamic range.  According to Lavry, Quintessence’s performance exceeds its predecessor in all of these aspects, while providing additional functionality.

For now, there is no official price with a release date TBA in the coming months.

Here are more details from Lavry:

Lavry Quintessence: Gold Series DAC

This DAC includes dual stereo XLR outputs (Main and Monitor) with +18 and +24 dBu peak output levels.  An intuitive push-button system and rotary knob controls analog Volume adjustment for the Monitor Output with a resolution of ¼ dB over a 96 dB range, and fine calibration of both outputs by 0.1 dB steps for a ±0.7 dB range.
