“Live from the Artists Den: 2012” – New Album Release w/Norah Jones, Death Cab for Cutie, Wallflowers, The Fray
Just in case you touched that dial (or your cable box…or DVR) and missed it on TV, you can get the highlights of the NYC-based show “Live from the Artists Den” on a new album released this week.

Artists Den Records has just launched Live from the Artists Den: 2012, a fresh collection of live songs from the popular PBS series of the same name. The record, which can be purchased here, includes performances by stars including nine-time Grammy winner Norah Jones, multiplatinum artist Kid Rock, and vocal virtuoso Rufus Wainwright.
All of the tracks were culled from episodes of the series that broadcast in 2012 and recorded during shows at unique, historic venues across America, including Jones at The Green Building (Brooklyn), Mayer Hawthorne at The Park Plaza Hotel (Los Angeles), Wainwright at The Church of the Ascension (Manhattan), and many more.
Songs by Death Cab For Cutie, The Fray, The Wallflowers, Iron & Wine, and Amos Lee, are also featured, in addition to a bonus, untelevised track by the rising Northern Irish band Two Door Cinema Club, whose stripped-down contribution was recorded as part of the Artists Den’s new Spotlight online concert series.
It’s a fitting capper to this NYC-based, Emmy-nominated series’ fifth season. Here’s the full track listing:
