March 23rd-24th 2017: Midwest AES Event with “Willie Green” Womack and More
SonicScoop’s Paul “Willie Green” Womack will be one of the featured speakers at this year’s Central Region Audio Student Summit, March 23rd and 24th in Webster Groves, Missouri.
This event welcomes over 300 attendees, including audio students, high school students, audio professors from around the area, and anyone interested in audio.
In addition to Womack, panelists consist of a wide variety of professionals in the audio field, including 14-time Grammy Award winner Richard King and Keynote Speaker and AES President, Alex Case.
FEATURED EVENTS:
Demo Rooms: Attendees get hands-on experience with professional grade gear from audio companies.
Student Mix Competiton: There will also be a mix competition open to high school and college students, where where their mixes will be judged by seasoned professionals and will be given critical feedback. Prizes will be awarded for the top 3 mixes. More information can be found in the Student Mix Competition section of their website.
Recording Critiques: Attendees have the opportunity to get feedback on their personal mixes from prfessional engineers, such as Ian Corbett, Richard King, Courtney Orlando, and Ben Majchrzak. Bring a USB drive with interleaved .wav files.
Networking Night: Go on a “speed date” with audio professionals. You have the opportunity to speak with each person and ask questions. Panelists include Kyle Chirnside, Henry Moyerman, Johnathan Pines, and Chris Finney. Free pizza! Make sure to sign up at the registration table.
