MOTU Introduces Track16 Mobile Interface

MOTU is staying right on top of it with the announcement of their new Track16, a 16 x 14 desktop studio interface with mixing and effects.

The big feature that the Track16 offers right out of the gate is the amount of I/O that it can support (via breakout cable/box) considering its small form factor. Not only that but it also includes some excellent mixing software and DSP plugins among other things.

The clean and multi-functional interface of the MOTU Track16.

The MOTU Track16 will be available in Q3 for $549 MSRP, and is compatible with both PC and Mac computers via USB 2.0 or Firewire 400 connection protocols. Here’s more from MOTU:

An astonishing array of inputs and outputs

Record two mics, two guitars, a keyboard, a sound module, and eight optical channels simultaneously

How can such a compact unit offer 16 channels of input and 14 channels of output, simultaneously, with mixing? The short answer: Track16 truly is an engineering achievement, packing the same quantity and quality of audio channels as other interfaces that cost hundreds more.
