Ableton Live 10 features a revamped sound library, key improvements to Push, and several robust new devices.
The new Live delivers four bold new devices, workflow refinements and a re-designed sound library. Live 10 also brings new functionality and high-res visualizations to Push. Plus, Max technology is now fully integrated into Live 10 Suite for faster, more stable performance.
Live 10 comes in three editions: Intro, Standard and Suite. They share common features, but Standard and Suite have additional features, instruments, Packs, and effects.
Intro is available for €79/$97; Standard is available for €349/$428; Suite is available for €599/$734.

TransAudio Group introduces the Daking Mic Pre-II.
Daking offers two channels of feature-packed, class “A” amplification in their 1U Mic Pre-II.
The new Daking Mic Pre II combines two of Daking’s celebrated stand-alone Mic Pre One units in a single rack space form factor. Like the Mic Pre One, the Mic Pre EQ, and the Mic Pre IV, the Daking Mic Pre II circuitry is based on a classic console design of the 80s with some upgrades: variable high pass filters on each channel, Jensen input transformers, class “A” amplification, extremely high headroom (+24), and a single-sided 48V power supply.
Daking Mic Pre II offers 70dB of gain, switchable polarity, a twenty-segment combo VU and “peak hold” LED meter, a 20dB pad with constant reflected impedance, switchable phantom power, direct 1/4″ instrument inputs on the front panel, and balanced XLR and 1/4″ outputs.
Mic Pre II is priced at $1,099 and begins shipping this month.
PreSonus announces EarMix 16M AVB-networked personal monitor mixer.

Designed to work seamlessly with the PreSonus StudioLive Series III family of mixers, yet compatible with other AVB-enabled systems, the PreSonus EarMix 16M 16×2 AVB-networked personal monitor mixer provides a high-quality, expandable, networked monitoring solution for stage, installed sound systems, and studio recording.
Part of PreSonus’ fast-growing ecosystem of AVB-networked products, each EarMix 16M accepts 16 mono channels of input via AVB networking—and you can network multiple units with a StudioLive Series III mixer.
EarMix 16M features a loud, clear headphone amplifier that can drive low-impedance devices such as professional-caliber in-ear-monitors. Channel grouping and stereo channel linking let you create custom mixes for each musician, and you can apply limiting and three-band EQ with sweepable midrange frequency to each channel, as well as to the main mix. Once you’ve perfected a set of monitor mixes, save the whole scene to internal memory; you can store and recall up to 16 mix scenes locally.
The EarMix 16M can be powered with its included external power supply as well as use Power over Ethernet (PoE), which enables network cables to carry electrical power to compatible devices.
EarMix 16M is expected to be available in the first quarter of 2018, with an anticipated street price of $399.95.
Radial announces the Backtrack.
Ensure total reliability for your backing tracks with Radial’s new Backtrack stereo audio switcher.
The Backtrack is a compact stereo audio switcher that is perfect for bands running redundant backing tracks on stage, or for switching between any stereo audio sources.
Connecting your playback devices to the Backtrack is easy via either dual 1/4″ TRS or 3.5mm stereo inputs. XLR outputs feed the PA system, and feature a ground lift switch and transformer isolation to prevent buzz and hum from ground loops. 1/4″ TRS monitor outputs are also provided for powered speakers on stage.
Once connected, an A/B switch selects between inputs so the backup source can be quickly activated should the primary playback system fail. A JR-2 remote can also be connected to the Backtrack to change the inputs remotely.
When cueing up tracks for playback, a mute switch cuts the feed to the main and monitor outputs, allowing tracks to be silently monitored using a dedicated headphone output. This output features its own level control and input selector switch, so even during live performance, either source can be checked without disturbing the main outputs.
Backtrack is shipping now and priced at $349.99.
