Roland debuts two new keyboards—one for performance and one for production.

The SE-02 and FA-07 keyboards are two new and exciting offerings from Roland (SE-02 in partnership with Studio Electronics) that are sure to appeal to both analog and digital keyboard enthusiasts.

Last week Roland introduced the SE-02 Analog Synthesizer and the FA-07 Music Workstation.

The SE-02 is a collaborative effort from Roland and Studio Electronics, and the debut product of the new Roland Boutique Designer Series. Featuring authentic discrete analog circuitry and hands-on controls for nearly every function, the compact SE-02 allows users to produce classic and modern sounds with vast programmability.

The new FA-07 features a 76-note velocity-sensitive keyboard with semi-weighted action, providing players a mid-level option to the 88-note FA-08 and 61-note FA-06. Along with it comes a Version 2.0 system update for the entire FA series. Available as a free download, the update includes new functionality requested by FA users. In addition, all new FA purchases now include a bundled license for Live 9 Lite, a special version of the well-known Ableton Live music production software.

The Bernard Herrmann Composer Toolkit is a dry scoring stage ensemble library innovation inspired by the legacy of the iconic film composer namesake. Herrmann is most noted for scoring titles such as Citizen Kane, Psycho, Vertigo, and Taxi Driver.
