New Gear Alert: Parallels Dual Synth by Softube, Blue Cat’s Re-Guitar, Orange Amps IRs by Celestion & More
Softube launches Parallels soft synth.
Parallels by Softube is a soft synth with two sound sources, each running painstakingly recorded and exquisitely calibrated multi-waveforms from some of music’s most lauded synths. The resulting sounds can be sculpted with the highest-quality Softube filters, modulators, and effects.
Almost a hundred high-quality pre-recorded multi-waveforms from classic synths live at the heart of Parallels—digital, analog, hard-wired, modular, FM, phys mod, as well as environmental and combined sources. Even some super-rare and unreleased pieces are represented.
Each waveform has a progression of some kind in its 15 second duration—a filter sweep for example—and playback can start and loop from any point of your choosing, and move through the waveform under modulation, providing almost infinite sounds-per-sound. All this with up to 14 voices at once. Each source can pass through its own shaper section, with a choice of 3 analog-modeled filter types; a state-variable filter (low, high, or band-pass), a vactrol-style low pass gate, or a triad of resonant peaks.
Parallels is on sale for a special introductory price of $129 until April 12th (reg. $149).
Blue Cat Audio releases Re-Guitar.

Re-Guitar is included inside Blue Cat’s Axiom 1.2 multi effects processor for guitar and bass. It is also available separately as an independent plugin, alone or within the Axe Pack guitar software bundle.
Re-Guitar is priced at $99, and currently available for a special introductory price of $69 until April 5th; demo versions and videos can be found here.

Lectrosonics introduces the DCHT portable digital stereo transmitter.
The new DCHT unit is designed for use in film and TV production as both a wireless audio link from a bag or cart system to cameras, and as a portable IFB transmitter paired with the Duet digital wireless M2R receiver packs. The DCHT accepts two channels of mic or line level analog signals, or an AES digital signal from a mixer, and transmits to the receiver or receivers in a pure digital format.
The DCHT can tune across the available UHF TV band from 470.100 to 607.950 MHz (470.100 to 614.375 MHz for the export version) in 100 kHz or 25 kHz steps, offering more than 6000 frequencies. The RF output can be set to 10, 25 or 50 mW, thus providing flexibility in terms of operating range for the intended application.

The Lectrosonics DCHT is available now, priced at $2,450.
Toontrack releases Urban Jazz MIDI, a collection of eclectic fusion grooves.
Inspired by the smooth/urban jazz genre and iconic drummers like Lil’ John Roberts, Chris Miskel, Omar Hakim, and Oscar Seaton, Toontrack’s Urban Jazz Grooves is best described as a less busy, more pocket-oriented and backbeat-driven derivate of fusion. It’s a seamless blend that merges the subtleties of jazz, the technicality of fusion, the groove of funk, and the power of rock.
This collection of tight grooves is ideal for any songwriting application that calls for the special finesse and extraordinary detail that pro drummers are known for.
Urban Jazz MIDI is priced at $29, and currently available for a special introductory price of $23.30 until the end of March.
