New Gear Alert: Stompboxes by Warm Audio, Novation Sound Collective x Krotos, Auto-Tune Subscription & More
Warm Audio announces the Foxy Tone Box and Jet Phaser guitar pedals.
The Foxy Tone Box from Warm Audio is a hyper-accurate recreation of one of the most sought-after and beloved fuzz pedals of all time—used in the early seventies by legendary tone masters Billy Gibbons and Peter Frampton, and in the present day by folks like Adrian Belew, Nine Inch Nails, and Beck. Covered in thick velvet just like the vintage pedal, the Warm Audio Foxy Tone Box faithfully recreates the vintage circuit and brings you the huge tone, octave-up sounds, and look of the original… without having to pay crazy vintage prices!
From the guitar work of David Gilmour, Brian May, and Eddie Van Halen, to the trail-blazing keyboard stylings of Steely Dan, Herbie Hancock, and Paul Simon’s Richard Tee, it seemed like everyone was incorporating phasers into their sound. The Warm Audio Jet Phaser is a hyper-authentic recreation of this famous phaser sound, accurate from the gooey swirl of the audio circuit to the look and feel of the enclosure, except that it’s true bypass and far more affordable and reliable than vintage units.

The Foxy Tone Box and Jet Phaser are both available now, priced at $149 and $199, respectively.
Novation gifts Sound Collective members Krotos Audio’s Simple Concept synth and 50% off the full Concept.
Powered by the award-winning Concept synthesis engine, Simple Concept centers on a library of over 80 presets, each one affording access to specific elements of its complex under-the-hood architecture via three macro controls. One preset might feature macros for controlling Chorus, Shape, and Octave, say, while another offers adjustment of Tone, Filter, and Space. Certain presets enable the amplitude or pitch of any external sound source to be used as an envelope-following modulation source, and an ADSR envelope allows for amplitude shaping.
Krotos Audio’s full Concept, meanwhile, gives full user access to the underlying engine behind Simple Concept, comprising two dual-waveform oscillators, ten effects modules, and a beautifully visualized freeform modulation system, along with facilitates unfettered assignment of parameters to the “Tweak It” system for controlled randomization. A thoroughly contemporary analog-style synthesizer, Concept successfully strikes the right balance of approachability and versatility, and sounds superb doing it.
Sound Collective members can download Simple Concept for free from their Novation account and claim their 50% discount on Concept between August 6th and October 8th, 2020.
