New Gear Alert: SUGAR by PROCESS.AUDIO, Sonarworks Reference 4 via Focusrite, Roland’s Virtual TB-303 & More

PROCESS.AUDIO releases SUGAR audio sweetener plugin.

PROCESS.AUDIO, a new pureMix brand, releases their debut plugin: SUGAR.

pureMix.net has launched PROCESS.AUDIO, a new audio plugin brand dedicated to bringing the pureMix team’s decades of studio experience to the world of software processing. The brand’s first product is SUGAR: The Ultimate Audio Sweetener. Conceived by a team of world class producers and mixers, led by Fab Dupont, SUGAR is tagged as a “secret weapon to hit the sweet spot on every mix.”

SUGAR is a shortcut to punchy kick drums, thick basses, sharp snares, edgy guitars, airy and creamy vocals, warm mixes and wide masters, and much more. It saves time by centralizing complicated mix processes in one analog-inspired plugin without sacrificing the ability to fine-tune for a professional experience. SUGAR’s four effects are routed in parallel processing and work in mono, stereo, and M/S mode.

Check out an introductory video to SUGAR here, and a 2-minute walkthrough here.

SUGAR can be tested with a free 14-day trial using a free iLok Cloud account, or with your iLok 2+ dongle; it will be made available to all pureMix Pro Members as part of their monthly subscription package.

Roland Cloud adds TB-303 software bass synthesizer to Legendary Series.

The Roland Cloud continues to expand with the addition of the classic TB-303 bass synthesizer.

Utilizing the same ACB (Analog Circuit Behavior) modeling as the Roland JUNO-106, JUPITER-8, and others from Roland Cloud’s Legendary series, the virtual TB-303 captures the hypnotic tone of the original hardware and forms the perfect complement to the TR-909 and other instruments in the Roland Cloud.

The software TB-303 retains the flow and functionality of the original design, while adding a host of fresh features sure to have turned heads back in the day. For the first time, the TB-303 can hold up to 64 patterns and 64 patches per bank. The eight variations of a pattern are still accessible on the faceplate. Plus, with 32 preset patterns and 48 unique sounds, the 303 arrives prepared with sonic templates ready to explore.
