BAE Audio imprint UK Sound has announced the debut of their new 276 Dual-Channel Mono Compressor. Featuring the classic operation and sound characteristics of the compressors from the hit-making studios of the ‘60s and ‘70s, the 276 makes it easy to dial in great sound on any source.
Input and output gains and selectable ratios of 4:1, 8:1, 12:1, and 20:1 allow you to tame peaks and fit each audio signal exactly where you want it in the mix, with a face-mounted gain reduction meter letting you know how hard the unit is working. For grittier applications, the 276 also features the beloved “all buttons in” mode, which unlocks a unique, hidden compressor behavior accessed by depressing multiple ratio buttons.
Built by the same expert designers who handcraft BAE Audio’s hand-wired studio equipment, the UK Sound 276 compressor emulates intuitive features of a classic and famous FET compressor, as well as the renowned brightness, presence, and energy the compressor imparts on the sound—all at an affordable price point.

iZotope furthers Neutron with version 3, its most intelligent and streamlined iteration to date.
Neutron 3 is designed to bring mix workflows into the 21st century. Thanks to advances in machine learning, Neutron 3 Advanced is the first-ever plugin that listens to the entire session, communicating with every track in the mix. Create a balanced starting point for an initial level mix built around a focus chosen by the mixer with Mix Assistant, saving time and energy for creative mix decisions.
Workflow is just one way Neutron 3 is bringing mixing into the 21st century. Sculptor is a new module (available in Neutron 3 Standard, and Advanced) for sweetening, fixing, and creative applications. Using never-before-seen signal processing, Sculptor works like a per-band army of compressors and EQs to shape any track. It also communicates with Track Assistant to understand each instrument, and gives real-time feedback to help shape tracks to a target EQ curve, or experiment with new sounds.
In addition, Neutron 3 includes many new improvements and enhancements based on feedback from the community, such as the redesigned Masking Meter that automatically flags masking issues and allows them to be fixed from a convenient one-window display.
Neutron 3 has also had a major overhaul in performance for faster processing and load times, and smooth metering. Sessions with multiple Neutrons open much quicker, and refresh rates for visualizations have doubled.

Lectrosonics introduces the D Squared digital wireless microphone system.
Lectrosonics sets a new standard for wireless microphone systems with D Squared.
The D Squared digital wireless microphone system utilizes the Lectrosonics 4th-generation digital architecture for excellent flexibility, ultra-fast setup, studio quality audio, and ultra-low latency. The system includes the DSQD 4-channel digital receiver, DBu digital belt pack transmitter, and DHu digital handheld transmitter.
System features include 24-bit, 48 kHz digital audio, 2-way IR sync, three levels of encryption, and a tuning range from 470-608 MHz (470-614 MHz for export versions). The D Squared system sets a new standard for enhanced audio quality, flexibility, low latency, and compact size.
The DSQD digital receiver is a four-channel, half-rack design with high-resolution color display, analog or Dante digital outputs, and rear BNC antenna ports with “loop-thru” buffered BNC outputs to another receiver. The DSQD is compatible with the latest Lectrosonics all-digital transmitters, including the DB Series and DHu, the stereo DCHT, and the half-rack M2T. The DSQD is also backward compatible with any Digital Hybrid Wireless transmitters, including the SM Series, LT, HM Series, SSM, HH Series, UM400, UM400a, LM Series, MM Series, and WM.
